Top 3 Thursday: Favorite Things About Spring

Elizabeth at Confessions From A Working Mom wants to know:What are your Top 3 Favorite Things about Spring.

I love Spring. It is, by far, my favorite season. I love how the world transforms from a cold dreary gray winter into a warm green fragrant lush spring. Living in the South for most of my life, spring has meant first trips to the beach for the year, track meets, baseball games, concerts in the park, and other activities in the sunshine. I am getting all warm and fuzzy inside just thinking about it. So my top three favorite things about Spring are:

daffodils

#3 Daffodils - When I start to see the green stems of the daffodils shoot up in March, I know that Spring is right around the corner. Clemson University (where I matriculated from) is covered in yellow daffodils every spring. It is the most gorgeous thing in the world. These lovely flowers trigger happy thoughts in my brain and I simply love that about Spring.

Yes, those are my feet.

#2 Flipflops and Sandals - Here in the South, Spring usually means temperatures warm enough to sport some open-toed shoes. I love to wear flip flops and sandals because I hate trying to find a matching pair of socks. I also love sandals because that means I get to wear pretty colored nail polish on my tootsies! And that brings me to.....

#1 Warmer Temperatures - I don't know about you, but these frigid (40's and 50's) temperatures we have been having around here lately are getting a tad old. We had one snow day here that was the snowiest day since 1973; a total of 8 inches fell in a place where a dusting normally closes school. Enough with the cold already. I am ready to wear my sandals, and once I get a hold of some self-tanning lotion, some shorts!

What do you love about Spring? Head on over to Confessions and link up!

Every year I wait in anticipation for the first crocus's to appear. Then I know that it really is springtime. :D

I love that you refer to the 40's and 50's as frigid. LOL

Ooooh, that picture of your feet made me remember something else I love about spring-- pedicures! I don't know why, but I do associate the season with my feet getting some TLC!

I agree with Eizabeth, Spring is all about pedicures. I can't wait until I can wear my flip-flops everyday with my pretty painted toes.

It's finally warming up here, too! We'll be around 70 the next few days. Thank God.

Our daffodils have bloomed--that my favorite part of the year!

Flip flops!!! Oh, I can't wait! I hope it's not too much longer before it's warm enough to bust them out. :)
