No...I'm not giving up my blog.
This weekend I am giving up nursing Baby B at night. I am absolutely convinced that she is only nursing for comfort and not for nutrition. Last night, my wonderful mother took baby duty all night, and even though B woke up several times, I did not feed her. My mom managed to comfort her and get her back to sleep, albeit with some crying involved. The goal is to get her sleeping through the night because I can't take much more of this.
Also this weekend, Miss H is giving up diapers. That's it. I am just done with changing her diapers and futsing around with the potty training. We made a big deal about "throwing away" all the diapers this morning, and she has been in "Big Girl Panties" all day long. As of right now there have been five accidents and only one half of a potty success.
So that's the deal. We are going cold turkey around here this weekend, giving up our "vices" if you will.
I'll see you on the other side, bloggies!

oh boy! I am sending lots of luck your way!!! Let me know how the night nursings (or lack there of) go.
I think cold turkey is important for diaper training...it takes two or three days, but they get it.
I was not a successful breast feeder, tried and failed with all four. UGH So, no advice from me there.
Hard times, for sure, lol!
Good luck with the potty training, and weaning. ;D
LOTS and LOTS of luck to you on both big changes this weekend. It will take time, I'm sure, but you all will come out on the other side. :-)
Oh wow. YOu are brave!! When I quit nursing Buster, I did it cold turkey. He liked whole milk (and it was 2 days before his 1st b-day) and I said, that's it, I'm done. He actually adjusted very well.
Good luck!
Good luck with everything!
I am following you from MBC.
