Top Three Thursday - Throw them away!

This week Confessions of a Working Mom and The (Un)Experienced Mom want to know "What are the Top 3 Things you should have thrown away...like, yesterday?

#3 Size 2 Formal Dress - Nearly seven years ago when Mr. Rose and I were first dating, he invited me to attend a formal event with him. I was so excited to get all dressed up, and even more excited to find that I fit into a Size 2 dress. I loved everything about that dress: strapless, fitted bodice, and A-line skirt. And I looked DARN good in it.

Since then, I have had two babies. My hips and ribcage are wider to say the least. There is no chance that I am EVER getting back in that dress. I really should donate it to one of those charities that give dresses to girls who can't afford them. But it is so pretty hanging in my closet....

#2 First positive pregnancy test - The month that Miss H was conceived, I was "charting." Have you been there? Taking your temperature every morning at exactly the same time. Waiting for the temp shift. Counting DPO's (Days Past Ovulation.) I was obsessed. Every day that Aunt Flo didn't rear her ugly head I got more and more anxious. Finally, one morning, I got up and took the darn test. Seriously, I almost threw up waiting the three minutes. But it didn't even take that long. It almost immediately showed positive!

I was flabbergasted. I know women get pregnant every minute of every day, but I couldn't believe that it had finally happened to me. So I kept the test as a reminder of how much joy I felt at that moment. And I still have it, hidden in the bottom drawer of my jewelry armoire. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I peed on that stick!

#1 Sweet 16 shirt - On my sixteenth birthday, almost exactly sixteen years ago, one of my friends gave me a shirt. It wasn't really anything fancy, just a shirt with blue and purple flowers on it. I wore it all the time. It got me through four years of college and beyond. Once it started fading, I relegated it to a workout and sleep shirt. Now, it is exclusively a sleep shirt.

My husband hates that shirt. It is beyond faded, and is starting to wear holes in the armpits. There is really NOTHING special about this shirt except that I have had it FOREVER. Literally half of my life! I really should throw it away...but it is all worn in and comfy now.

How about you? What do you really need to throw away? Head on over to Confessions to link up!

Size TWO? My chicas could fit in one of those, but I think I started off my life at Size 8. Well, I've never heard of a 5-foot-9 gal being size 2 anyway, have you? SITS sent me by, and I'm glad they did!

Oh girl....I have about 4 positive pregnancy tests from when Wyatt was conceived and also a couple from Emmie....and now some new ones. I put them in their baby books so that they can be totally disgusted when they are older. haha. I just cant bring myself to throw them out!

I've noticed several women hanging onto old pregnancy tests. Maybe it's not as weird as we all think it is! lol

Oh, I have dresses like that. Or rather, I did. Right before we moved, I went through all my stuff that will never fit again and gave it to a friend.

So I guess it's safe to say that I have a stash of + pregnancy test in my dresser drawer.

Gross? Nope--not to me :) I am just glad I'm not the only one...hehe!

xoxo & I'm pretty sure I threw out my size 2 clothes. I still have some 6's and 8's--bc one day I WILL squeeze into them!

Haha! I kept my first pregnancy tests for awhile, too, but eventually settled for a picture. Do you at least have it in a baggy? And is the line still showing? I always wondered that.

Thanks for playing our game!
